Banner Poster for First Apple Ipod (2001)

£550.00

“Say Hello To Ipod - 1000 Songs in your pocket - Think Different”

Point-of-sale banner/poster. Produced by Apple Computer Inc. Dated 2001. Measures approximately 150cm x 60cm. Thin plastic-like stock with hanging pole loops at the top and bottom. Excellent used condition.

This large ‘Say Hello To Ipod’ banner would have been displayed on the launch of the Apple Ipod in October 2001. As featurered on the banner, the Apple Ipod launched with the slogan "1000 songs in your pocket" .

Whilst it wasn’t the first mp3 on the market, its intuitive interface and satisfying design by British product designer Sir Jonathan Ive combine with a 10 hour battery life to put the ipod firmly at #1. This was the only ipod model to have a mechanical scroll wheel (future models had fixed touch-sensitive wheels). A true icon that dramatically transformed the way we store and enjoy audio whilst being a beautiful device to look at and hold.

Just a couple of decades ago, but already iconic in its design and the impact it had on how we all interact with music.
