One of the earliest posters Apple ever produced, featuring the first official Apple logo designed by Rob Janoff in 1977 and using the "Motter Tektura" font. The use of the rainbow spectrum in the logo was a nod towards Apple’s latest computer, Apple II, which was the world’s first computer with colour display. The bite out of the apple was simply to make it look more like an apple but clearly lent itself to a nerdy play on words (bite/byte), a fitting reference for a tech company.

This poster was produced just 4 years after Apple was founded by Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne and shortly before Apple Computer Inc went public with instant financial success. Between September 1977 and September 1980, yearly sales grew from $775,000 to $118 million, an average annual growth rate of 533%.
