£250.00

Produced by Subline. Limited edition of 250. Dated November 2025. Measures 21cm x 15cm. Signed and numbered (176/250). Condition: As new.

The third limited edition spoof tube map issued by Subline and distributed around central London Underground stations in February 2026. (confirmed by Subline Instagram page).

If Subline's first map perplexed unsuspecting passengers, this would fully bamboozle them! This map presents London as never conceived before, flipping Harry Beck's first edition diagram (1933) on its head! The many design features of this spoof map are a feast for London Underground enthusiasts, there is a lot going on:

Map Side: The map is Harry Beck's first edition diagram - as issued in January 1933 - but completely recreated upside down, pointing due South! Every station and map feature has been flipped 180 degrees and makes for a fascinating visual. The only thing to have moved from its position is the 'H.C Beck' which still shows in the bottom left corner.

Front Cover Panel: Whilst the format and appearance presents as the modern day tube map, it is a recreation of the January 1933 cover, with the infamous 'we welcome your comments' paragraph, replacing the standard roundel with the beautiful mosaic roundel from Maida Vale station.

Back Cover Panel: A quote - describing the London Underground diagram - that gives a clue to what might be found inside!

Middle Cover Panel: Featuring the famous 'No need to ask a p'liceman' cartoon by John Hassell which was issued in both poster and publication print formats to promote the new unified map of the network in 1908. However, in this version the 1908 map features upside down! again, a clue to what may lie within! As seen in the first map, graffiti tags appear on the walls (TOX25 and 10Foot25).
