This extraordinary souvenir, the Disneyland Music Map, commemorates the opening of Disneyland, California in 1955.
The panoramic fold out map depicts a birds-eye-view of Disneyland and the sixteen original attractions upon opening. Five 78 RPM records were included (designed to be cut out) to accompany the map. The records feature: an introduction (voiced by Tinkerbell and Mickey), Adventureland, Frontierland, Tomorrowland, and Fantasyland. Each record plays voices and music ranging in duration (between 1-3 mins) giving the listener a unique, sensory experience of Disneyland. Cut-outs were even included (upper left) to be folded and sat atop the arm of the record player.
