This striking and detailed poster was designed by the notable artist and poster designer Richard T. Cooper, who worked for the Underground Group from 1924 to 1935. Cooper’s historic illustrations feature ‘Some of the Means of transport’ in London from A.D. 327 to 1927; Starting with Shank's Pony, the illustration takes us on a journey through 1600 years of London public transport. At the bottom of the illustration we arrive at the ‘present day’ and showcases ‘The Tube: The Londoner's Swift, Safe and Comfortable Transport’
